Lease starting June 1st for a private, unfurnished room in a 3bed/2bath unit along Palmerston. $1380/mo. About the unit: One room is available for rent in a newly renovated 2nd floor unit in a house near Palmerston & Harbord. The unit has windows facing east and west and remains bright and sunny throughout the day. There are 3 full bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms in the unit, along with a combined kitchen / living area. Laundry is shared with other units in the house and is coin operated. The house is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with many shops and amenities nearby. It is within walking distance of College and Bloor, directly next to a bus along Harbord, and a short walk from the Bathurst streetcar. Line 2 is accessible nearby at Bathurst station. The room that is available for rent is unfurnished. It contains a large east-facing window along with a closet and a small amount of shelf space. The room is approximately 11x11 ft and will be able to fit a queen bed along with a desk or other small furniture items. Please be aware that there is limited room to accommodate large items in the rest of the unit. Your bathroom will be shared with one other tenant. Note that the unit is up a set of narrow stairs and may be challenging for anyone with limited mobility. We cannot accommodate pets as per the landlord, and there is no dedicated parking spot available. About the lease: There is one master lease for the unit, and any new tenant will be signing a sub-lease agreement with the current tenants. Monthly rent includes most utilities (electricity, water, waste pickup) while internet is an extra cost in addition to the rent. First and last month’s rent are required along with a deposit for keys and a waste pickup. New tenants would begin their lease June 1st. About the tenants: There are two current tenants in the unit: myself, and my friend Sam. We moved into this unit together at the start of April, and after settling in we are now looking to fill the third room. Both of us are PhD students at the University of Toronto which takes up a large portion of our days. As such, we value having a home that is welcoming, clean, and comfortable during our downtime. We are both kind and friendly people, and we’re happy to have a conversation whenever we’re around the house. About you: Primarily, we are looking for a roommate that shares similar values of keeping a home welcoming and comfortable, and someone that we will enjoy living with.
