Rent (negotiable in special circumstances): $710 for short-term (6 months or less); $660 /month for long-term (7 months or more – and retroactively: on the 7th month you only pay $360 (= $660 - $50x6 that you already paid)). Charming and huge room (20.4m2 = 220 sq.ft.) in great, centrally located “6 1/2” (i.e. a 2 1/2 bedroom flat), well equipped (and access to kitchen, etc), in calm flat, in the “coolest neighborhood in the world” (no kidding!: search “journal metro Top 15 des quartiers les plus cool”), and central for both 1) cultural life and 2) transportation downtown and to the 4 universities. — IMPORTANT BUDGET-RELEVANT FEATURE: we are close to PA, a grocery store known for its cheaper prices –21% cheaper according to a detailed calculation (available upon request). So you can save between $50 and $80 a month, depending on your eating habits… To be clear: The room available for rent is a private double room, currently split into a “living space” side (with the sofa-bed pictured in the “sofa” position) and a “sleep/work” side. The visual separation (the array of boxes in the middle) can thus be flapped onto the wall in order to turn it into one large open space (in other words, the flat’s shared living room is elsewhere –and also pictured in the last photo). The double bed is the (deployable) black futon on the 2nd picture, not the green sofa on the 1st, although this can also be used as a single bed. Another large bed is also available. Actually, many spatial and furniture arrangements are possible in this huge room ). The room is in a great apartment to share with Alfredo (writer) and Macarena (McGill student) (not a couple) in a 6 1/2 with two balconies, washer/drier in the basement, in the Mile-End area (between Outremont & west Plateau) –in a quiet street near the corner of Laurier ave and Park ave, thus close to all services and excellent transportation : — 8-min bus ride to Park and Milton to McGill (even walkable in 25 mins.) / — 12-5 min from UdeM/HEC by bus / — 35 min to Concordia in direct bus (6-9 am, 3-6 pm) / and— between 10 to 20 min from UQAM. — 12-15 min, to métro Laurier on foot (4min by bus) –but the bus Park ave. bus is even better than the metro (virtually as frequent …but runs all night) Includes double bed, heat, WiFi, and locker in room. Smoking OK (with conditions, so common areas remain STRICTLY SMOKE-FREE). Short or long term –to be discussed. For long term, seeking responsible and quiet person, and someone fun/ stimulating/ or intellectually mature …but of course “chemistry” has its own laws! De sorte qu’on peut couper son budget alimentaire entre $50 et $80/mois, dépendamment de sa diète. En clair : la chambre à louer est un “salon-double” privé, présentement aménagé en “petite salle” d’un côté (où se trouve le canapé-lit figurant en position “canapé”), et un 2e côté, pour “dormir/travailler”.
